On the continuum of bliss...

athenagrey Time neither flies nor stands still. It simply becomes irrelevant. Tulips don't wear watches.
If you recall, I wanted to spend time being a tulip for a while, meaning that I needed to bask in the weak springtime sun and take life as it comes, regaining strength after a particularly arduous journey from bulb to blossom.
And so I did. My retreat at Kripalu Yoga Center was a delight. I go there to realign my body, mind and spirit, to live a simple life and to renew myself. The bliss i find there is usually very slow and gentle, the bliss of yoga nidra.
This time, I encountered a bliss that revolves at a higher speed and hums at a higher pitch. Kirtan is the practice of call and response chanting of sacred names (in Sanscrit, of course). It is beautiful and energizing. I would love to participate in a goddess-centric kirtan. The one I attended including chanting of Gods and Goddesses' names.
