The Gratitude Project - August 7
Aug. 7th, 2008 09:35 pmToday I am grateful for the silence of the Aerie.
It is my sanctuary.
I can't tell you how many times I have been walking around in noisy, bustling Manhattan, headphones stuck firmly in my ears, not listening to anything on the iPod. Just creating silence.
I can write if there's some wordless chillout music playing, but not when my words have to compete with the lyrics. I don't like conversations where everyone is talking at once.
What about you? Are you more grateful for sound or silence?
