An ordinary witch
Jul. 2nd, 2005 04:57 pmI've always been THAT woman whose garden overflows with old roses and curious herbs, and whose house is warm and inviting by candle light. I have always know that there were truths that my cat understood better than I, and in a previous life, I had a previous life.
I am just an ordinary witch. I don't enjoy lengthy or formal ritual, and cannot stay awake through long and involved heroic myths. I do enjoy making magic through art and creativity. When I am sewing or beading, each stitch becomes a chant, and I become a part of the long line of fore-mothers who made their stitches, one by one. That's simple and strong magic.
Magical inspiration comes from everyday things. I did not have a creative or inspired day in the office on Friday, so I am putting together a kit of essential oils that I should keep in my office for those days when a little magic would help the work along.
CLARY SAGE lifts the spirits and introduces a slightly euphoric mood.
PEPPERMINT stimulates the mind.
BALSAM for power, insight, and to bring about change.
